About Our Project
MSMEs Digitisation in Tour Destinations in Uganda
An innovative e-commerce solution designed to empower over 1,500 tourism-related MSMEs in Uganda, particularly in underserved communities around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Kibale National Park.
Despite Uganda's reputation as the "Pearl of Africa", many small businesses in tourism destinations lack the resources and expertise to establish an online presence. This limitation restricts their ability to access broader markets and hampers growth.
Local artisans, guides, and hospitality providers face barriers to showcasing their offerings on global platforms due to limited access to digital marketing tools, e-commerce opportunities, and secure payment systems.
Limited access to digital tools and ICT infrastructure
Unable to reach international customers effectively
Lack of secure digital payment infrastructure
Comprehensive digital empowerment for tourism MSMEs
